Christopher Miles's film biography of D.H.Lawrence brings to the screen the authentic and dramatic love story of a genius and his remarkable life. The title is Lawrence's own description of himself, and the film echoes that thought: a vigorous, funny, tender, furious celebration of life and love. An exact reproduction of the rare cembalo d'amore was specially built for the film.
